Please let me know, thanks,

Ladies and gentlemen

Everybody in the car so come on let's ride
To the ice arena around the corner
The boys say they want some gin and juice
But I really don't wanna
Beer bust like I had last week
I must stay deep cause talk is cheap
I like Jo, Bev, Missy and Dj
And as they continue
You know they gettin sweeter
So what can I do
I really thank you my Lord
To me flirting is just like a sport
Anything fly, it's all good
let me jump in and send in the trumpet

A little bit of Little Jo, in my life
A little bit of Cathy, by my side
A little bit of Dj's, all I need
A little bit of Bevister, is what I seek
A little bit of Vykky in the sun
A little bit of Missy, all night long
A little bit of Spandfan, here I am
A little bit of all of you makes me your man

Jump up and down
And move it all around
Shake your hand to the sound
Put your hands on the ground
Take one step left
And one step right
One to the front
And one to the side
Clap your hands once
And clap your hands twice
And if it looks like this
Then your doing in right

A little bit of Little Jo, in my life
A little bit of Cathy, by my side
A little bit of Dj's, all I need
A little bit of Bevister, is what I seek
A little bit of Vykky in the sun
A little bit of Missy, all night long
A little bit of Spandfan, here I am
A little bit of all of you makes me your man

Ha, Ha, Ha

A little bit of Little Jo, in my life
A little bit of Cathy, by my side
A little bit of Dj's, all I need
A little bit of Bevister, is what I seek
A little bit of Vykky in the sun
A little bit of Missy, all night long
A little bit of Spandfan, here I am
A little bit of all of you makes me your man

I'd do all to
Fall in love with a girl like you
Cuz you can't run
And you can't hide
You and me gonna Heart Like A Sky

Just so you know what pelican-ga is talking about -- he has apparently
found a page with the heading "'The Krays'...", which contains the
lyrics he has reprinted:

http://missy-dj.freewebspace.com/spandau.htm

Missy-ga's commment refers to the fact that Mambo No. 5, on which
these lyrics are based, does not sound like Carmina Burana. And
likewise, it doesn't sound like the trailer, which I believe
pinkfreud-ga found in one of the previous versions of this question:

http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=77763

(The other versions of this question are:
http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=117213
http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=86132 )

So, am I correct that the lyrics found by pelican-ga have nothing to
do with the trailer, and that pinkfreud-ga did find the correct
trailer?

It might also be useful to note that this page

The Krays film you never saw, nor ever will...
http://missy-dj.freewebspace.com/index.htm

...has nothing to do with the film "The Krays". It's a spoof site.

Hello dalls-ga:

Can you remember now the lyrics of the krays film trailer, even if
only a few words? I think the composers were Michael Kamen and Chris
Rea. I am trying to get in touch with them.

By the way, you are witnessing an excellent example of research
collaboration, with the more seasoned researchers helping the
neophyte. Indeed, I can use all the help I can get. I am researching
their leads, and finding some others.

What about one or more of the following sources:

Videopipeline (suggested by pinkfreud-ga)

Miramax

Nespot

DVD Reviewer

Am I getting closer to the correct movie and music? I am sending
email to these and several other contacts, to see if I can find any
recording of the krays film trailer for sale.

What media would you prefer -- VHS, DVD, CD ... ?

I am researching the following offerings, to make sure they include
the trailer:

Hello dalls-ga,

I have located a used CD for sale, and also a used cassette recording.
I am double checking, to make sure that both include the choral music
from the krays film trailer. Would you be interested? Please let me

Shall I tell you my dream, a demon in my view, frances, wonderful,
swansong, bittersweet, ballade de regal, bubbles, the blind begger

From what I've been reading, the soundtrack was done by Michael Kamen.
I haven't been able to find a soundtrack for sale on line but a
message was posted in the yahoo group stating someone had a copy of
the cassette.

The answer given by the researcher is WAY off base. Perhaps he meant
to answer a different question and pasted his text into this one by
mistake.

"Paul Robeson: Tribute to an Artist" is one film. "The Krays" is a
completely different film:

"Paul Robeson: Tribute to an Artist (1979)"
Internet Movie Database
http://us.imdb.com/Details?0079704

"Krays, The (1990)"
Internet Movie Database
http://us.imdb.com/Details?0099951

I have no idea how pelican-ga might have deduced from the page on the
"Paul Robeson: Tribute to an Artist" that the music from that film was
the choral music from "The Krays" film trailer.

Actually the soundtrack for The Krays is a very rare find indeed. The
Krays soundtrack came out on the Parkfield Music Label. Fugitive
Films made the film and featured a Chris Rea soundtrack entitled
Bitter Sweet. This on is going to be a tough find. Good luck.

Pelican-ga has written in his clarification that "The answer was
obtained
by running the search query <krays film trailer paul kaye> on the
imdb.com search engine. One hit, a a perfect match."

Yes, but a perfect match for what? Not only is the film on Paul
Robeson different from The Krays, but the BBC2 game show Liar with
Paul Kaye is also different from The Krays. There is no indication in
the question that Paul Kaye has anything to do with The Krays or its
trailer, but rather that he has something to do with Liar. And there
is no indication in the "perfect match" that Paul Kaye or the Krays
have anything to do with the film on Paul Robeson.

FYI, I am not infallible ... it was an honest mistake.

Pretty sure Mambo Number Five doesn't sound like Carmina Burana:

For the sake of other Researchers, I would like to emphasize that the
choral music that is used in the trailer is not from the soundtrack of
"The Krays," nor will it be found on the CD recording of the
soundtrack.

It is not uncommon for film trailers to use music that is unrelated to
the movie's soundtrack, since trailers are sometimes released before
the film's soundtrack is complete.

This is just a tiny FYI unrelated to the Krays question... As
pinkfreud pointed out, it is not uncommon for music appearing in the
trailer to not appear in the film. A few months back someone asked
Roger Ebert about some music appearing in a Lord of The Rings Two
Towers trailer:

All,

With respect to where this music came from, I spent a good deal of
time woring on the previous version of this question (which has since
expired). I came as close as having a conversation with a producer on
a TV show who knew the music, actually sang it for me to confirm, and
put me in touch with the sountrack engineer that originally selected
the music for that show. That engineer confirmed that he pulled the
music off of one CD in a library of thousands of CDs, and could not
for the life of him identify which it came off of. I asked them to
look for licensing receipts, talk to others at the production company,
but they agreed it was a futile pursuit on their end. They select
different pieces of music from those CDs everyday.

All of this is to say that: if it was on one of those background music
CDs, it likely was *not* on any Krays soundtrack. My best guess is
that we're dealing with a piece of classical music. Hope this bit of
info helps any other researchers find this answer.
