Greetings Malteser! In researching your question, I discovered many
links for tips to university students on time management and I have
chosen not to include those links because you used the word
"organisation" in your question. However, if you would like some of
those links after reviewing what I have provided below, I'll be happy
to list a few.
The web site located at
http://mi.essortment.com/timemanagement_rabr.htm offers a detailed
article on time management and a full example. It explains the study
and then shows a worker's notes concerning what he/she did with
his/her time at work on a typical workday.
One "student" link I did want to include is located at
http://cvu.strath.ac.uk/courseware/ship/project/tmie.htm and the
reason I think you might find it helpful is because it offered an
interactive time management exercise where letter values were assigned
to each activity. Then the letter values are filled in a form and are
calculated by the program.
The values are working, meeting, telephoning, traveling, taking
breaks, private study, administration and misceellaneous. Because a
claculator is offered in this example that helps to show time spent,
you could easily assign other values to the letters and still utilize
the calculator to see where time is spent most by employees. Also, a
brief time management workbook is located at
