Hi Qpet,

I have been researching your question and Get Abstract seems to be
the service that most resembles what you require.

Get Abstract:

Abstracts are 5-page summaries of the best and most relevant Business
Books. Instantly access every title for immediate use. New titles
every day (500 added every year). Please take a look at the topics
they offer. You may also search for abstracts by keyword. Although it
is mainly dedicated business books there are a number of hits when I
enter psychology, philosophy and anthology.

but would the following two resources and other similar services be
acceptable?

Why not put up an advert in your nearest university for graduate
students of these subjects who might be interested in earning some
money? You would then have people who are reasonably expert in the
subjects and who would probably charge far less than any agency. Also,
since some of these books might well be avaialble to them through the
university library, you might save even more by not having to supply
them.
