I have been told that a few (2-4) years ago there was a story on TV about a baby sitter who disappeared while babysitting at the La Posada Inn (hotel?) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I believed this occurred sometime between 1949 and 1953. Apparently the manager or owner of the inn noticed that the door to a "cottage" was open and upon investigating, discovered that the babysitter was gone, leaving the young child alone. I have been told that I was the child that was left and was wondering if I could get a copy of the story. I would assume that the original news story probably appeared in the Santa Fe New Mexican at the time of the disappearance. | |

The UNSOLVED MYSTERIES TV SHOW has a website at www.unsolved.com and they have a contact link where you can send the show an e-mail message. I suggest you contact them with the brief information you have--perhaps someone on the staff can check their files to see if there is anything resembling the information you mentioned. Since the show, I assume, is currently out of production, I can't guarantee that your e-mail will be received, since I don't know if the e-mail address is still good, but since the show appears in syndication on other cable stations, the Cosgrove-Meurer Production company that produces the show might still be taking e-mail about it. If you don't hear anything from them, you should contact a newspaper in Santa Fee to ask them to check their files or perhaps a genealogical researcher could check the police files to see if that information is available. Good luck in your quest for information--I somehow feel you are going to be lucky in finding out more about it. SINCERELY, 4keith-ga |
