There is no right or wrong answer to my question/request.

I am trying to redo our website's tagline and would like to solicit
the help of the Google Answers community for their opinions and
suggestions for a new tagline for our website.

Many of our visitors enter our store through search engines and land
directly on a product page, rather than going through our homepage.
As a result, this can be somewhat disorienting to a first-time visitor
as to "what is this site about?" I need our tagline to clearly
explain (in 12 words or less) who we are and what we sell.

Background: We have an online store with a fairly large (not the
biggest) selection of art prints and posters (about 90,000). Our
prices are competitive (but not the cheapest).

Tagline Guidelines:
Length: tagline must be 12 words or less
Keywords: prints and posters (must appear in tagline)
Store Features: everyday low prices, over 90,000 items
Other: Clever is okay, but do not wish to create 'ambiguity' at the
cost of 'clever'.

Here are some of the ones (none of which I like yet) that we've come
up with. Through our tagline, I'd like to communicate 1) large
selection of prints and posters and (if possible) 2) affordable
prices:

Respree.com - Prints, posters and more!
Respree.com - Affordable prints and posters!
Respree.com - Your online source for prints and posters
Respree.com - Your print and poster superstore
Respree.com - Your print and poster megastore
Respree.com - Shopping for prints and posters - made easy!
Respree.com - Everyday low prices on prints and posters!
Respree.com - So many prints and posters, So little time.
Respree.com - The best deals on prints and posters.
Respree.com - Buy prints and posters online. Thousands to choose from.

Our competitors:
Art.com - Your Home for Prints, Posters and Custom Framing
Allposters.com - The World's Largest Poster and Print Store
ArtboundExpress.com - Fast becoming America's favorite place to buy
art
Artselect.com - beautiful framed art
GlobalGallery.com - the online art source
nothinbutprints.com - Your 1st Stop for Art

Many thanks for your help.

Hi, Respree

First off, I don't like your domain name.

You really are missing a trick by not going for something that makes a
statement, for example:

www.megart-gallery.com

(Well, it was available before I posted this comment)

The tagline that I would propose after you have fixed the domain name
is:

Great Prints & Posters at Great Prices

Kindest regards

Hi again Respree --

Three of your competitors are emphasizing selling (store, buy,
source).
Two are emphasizing service (framing, framed).
One encourages treating the site as an information source (1st stop).

What should pop in customers' minds when they think of
www.respree.com?
-- Where I go to look up artwork, prints (ala Amazon)?
-- An interesting art site?
-- Always giving me new perspectives on art?
-- Art shopping site?
-- Art portal?
-- Fun way to look at art categories?
-- A unique kind of service?
-- A type of customer?

Selling via the Internet isn't unique; claims of largest + cheapest
are common and overblown. Your 1st tagline is the best of your
suggestions. (Your 2nd is the worst -- I would HOPE that they'd be
affordable.)

Some suggestions from the peanut gallery:
-- Prints and posters for the discriminating.
-- Enlivening your surroundings with art.
-- How to find artwork.
-- Art for your environment.
-- Decorating personal spaces since 1999.
-- Prints and posters for you.

Personally, I'd try to get a tagline that says "come back every week
to see something new" or "consult with us on tasteful art for you."

Best regards,

Omnivorous-GA
