After 40 years of working worldwide in the oil/gas industry as an
electrical engineer I’d like to find a job as TEFL teacher. My
question is: are there any agencies, corporations, businesses or
private bodies which employ TEFL teachers having no formal training in
the teaching of the English language?

Hello:

You will be glad to know that there are lots of organizations that are
willing to employ guys like you with no experience to teach English.
Moreover, the pay and the benefits from some companies are just
great---- even without any experience. The majority of opportunities
are found in Far East Asia where the economy is booming and the public
schools in these countries are willing to pay for your expenses. Even
the governments of these countries e.g. Korea and Japan are very much
willing to invest in people like you. I am providing you links to such
organizations which are willing to hire people like you and pay them.
