Hello wjjb-ga,

At the outset, I should note that your site is not available at a WWW
address; it is only at http://pafishingguide.com/ . The WWW version
of the address, http://www.pafishingguide.com/ , is not active. I
don't think this is part of your problem, but I thought I should
mention it.

If Go Daddy registered the site only with Google, it presumably used
this form:

"For Site Owners: Submit your site"
Google
://www.google.com/addurl.html

The form states, "We add and update new sites to our index each time
we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here. We do
not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any
predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear."

However, Google does provide some guidance as to when a new site might
appear. The form also notes that Google's crawler, Googlebot,
searches the Web so that Google can update its index "on a regular
basis". More specifically, "Google's index is updated approximately
once a month after our robots have crawled more than 3 billion web
pages."

"Webmaster Info: Incorrect Listing" [section A.1.]
Google
://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html

Another page of information for webmasters notes that "Given the large
number of sites submitting URLs, it's likely your pages will be found
in an automatic crawl before they make it into our index through the
URL submission form.

"Webmaster Info: How Do I Get My Site Listed on Google?" [section
A.2.]
Google
://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html

These and other pages of advice from Google emphasize that there is no
guarantee of inclusion in the index. Technical, design, or content
issues can help or hurt the chances that a site will be indexed. I
don't notice any such problems (please note that I am not a technical
expert), but I thought I should mention it for your future reference.

"Webmaster Guidelines"
Google
://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html

"Webmaster Info: My Web Pages Are Not Currently Listed"
Google
://www.google.com/webmasters/2.html

I think that there are two reasons why your site is not indexed yet.

First, if Go Daddy registered the site four weeks ago, it just missed
the last monthly Googlebot crawl. Currently, webmasters are awaiting
the next crawl. You might check Google several days after the update
begins to see whether your site has been indexed.

"Alright enough lets update" (February 25, 2003 to present)

Second, no web pages appear to link to pafishinguide.com. As Google
explains, "The best way to ensure Google finds your site is for your
page to be linked from lots of pages on other sites. Google's robots
jump from page to page on the Web via hyperlinks, so the more sites
that link to you, the more likely it is that we'll find you quickly."

"Your search - link:pafishingguide.com - did not match any documents."
Google
://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=link:pafishingguide%2Ecom

"Your search - "pafishingguide.com" - did not match any documents. No
pages were found containing "pafishingguide"."
Google
://www.google.com/search?num=30&hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&safe=off&q=%22pafishingguide.com%22

"Webmaster Info: How Do I Get My Site Listed on Google?" [section A.2]
Google
://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html

Hopefully, the next Googlebot crawl, some time soon, will pick up your
site. Otherwise, you should work on getting other relevant web pages
that Google has indexed to provide links to your web pages. (You
should do that anyway, so that Google will give your site a good
PageRank.)

I hope that this information is helpful.

Search strategy:

Browsed Google's information for webmasters

Browsed WebmasterWorld [I knew already about the page on "Google
Update History"]

There is only one "G", not two. in: www.Pafishinguide.com.
Just for information and thanks for your help.
I suppose I will just wait for the updates.

Sorry about the misspelling; I think what happened was that I did not
find www.pafishingguide.com, and then did find pafishinguide.com .
Anyway, the mistake does not appear to affect my answer.

While there is a mention of "pafishinguide" at
http://sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/links.htm , the link does
not go directly to your site, which I think means that the Googlebot
cannot follow it to your site. So you could still benefit from a link
on another site that is indexed by Google.

Very comprehensive answer. I just need to comprehensively follow
through and learn how to do what I was told in order to solve the
issue!!
