Where can I find information about the invention of the Diaper Genie?
(e.g. what is the story of the diaper genie - I think some guy
developed it while working at Kimberley Clark and they didn't want it,
so he created his own company and then sold it)

I don't know the story behind it but I DID find out who invented it.

question. Please disregard my request for clarification. Since I
posted by clarification request, I actually found the reference you
are looking for:

According to this young inventor named Peter Habib III (who now has a
product of his own called “Baby On the Go”), his inspiration came from
a fellow entrepreneur who befriended him named John Hall, the inventor
of the “Diaper Genie”.

“Habib was one year into medical school when he decided his money
would be better spent launching a business based on this product than
it would on tuition, so he dropped out to develop Baby On the Go.
About a year later, he moved from Akron and returned to the Pittsburgh
area, taking his business with him.

The market for baby products is huge, and Habib was motivated in part
by the success of the Diaper Genie, a receptacle invented by John Hall
in the mid-1990s that lets parents dispose of diapers in a quick,
sanitary and not-all-that-unpleasant way. The product was sold in 1999
by its parent company, Mondial Industries, for $122 million to Playtex
Products Inc. Since then, Habib has been in contact with Hall, who has
served as an informal business adviser to him.”
