I am interested in locating the Fall, 1980 issue of Popular Science
and Mechanics magazine, which features the "Power Wheel" in color on
the front cover and contains an article on the item inside with a
picture of Gary Goldman holding a prototype. |

The items shown on e-bay are for the magazine "Popular Science"; this
is not the same as and should not be confused with "Popular Science
and Mechanics" which I am looking for and which specifically has the
issue date of "Fall, 1980".

Hi garyresearcher,
While researching your question, I emailed over 30 magazine collectors
with your request. I will let you know as soon as I receive some
positive feedback.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)

It appears that the Spring, 1980 issue coincidently features a type of
magnetic engine that is similar to, but not the same as the "Power
Wheel" on the Fall, 1980 issue of Popular Science and Mechanics. The
issue "Fall, 1980" is indeed the issue I am looking for--not Spring,
1980 (although it is very, very close).

I think I can locate a copy of this magazine in library collections,
either in print, or on microfiche. If I do...what then? It seems as
if you want a copy for your own keeping, but somehow I don't think the
library is likely to let me have it permanently.

If a library copy or microfiche version of the magazine can be
obtained, I would be sufficiently satisfied to obtain a copy or
photocopy of the front page--of course a color copy of the front page
would be most preferable; also I would simply need a black & white
copy of the corresponding article on the Power Wheel inside the
magazine--just a few pages of text and black and white pictures.
