Hi there:
This is a problem that occurs with Internet Explorer versions 5.0 and
later. You have enabled AutoComplete, which allows IE to
automatically fill in information that you have already searched
before. While many find this feature helpful, I do not like it and
disabled it. Here is the instruction:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on the Tools Menu, then choose "Internet Options"
3. Click on the Content tab
4. Click on the AutoComplete button
5. Uncheck Forms (and Web Addresses and Username if you wish)
6. Click Clear Forms and Clear Passwords
7. Click OK.

I did exactly what you said and the same key words keep coming up

Did you restart the browser after you did this? Also, this problem
may not be IE-related (you might have installed an automatic
form-filling software such as Gator). When you say that a list pops
up, does it look like a drop-down box?
Please see this page for more information regarding previous searches
popping up: ://www.google.com/help/faq.html#iehistory

I have tried doing this on a computer that has acquired quite a list
previous searches on forms. Without restarting, the browser ceased to
pop up previous searches. Make sure that the Forms options in the
AutoComplet menu is NOT checked. If this doesn't work, please feel
free to request a refund, as I do not know of any other causes for
this.

When you have cleared everything, submitting a form will invoke the
browser to ask you whether you want to enable autocomplete. Click on
no and enable the option for it to never ask you again.

In addition to clearing AutoCompleat you can delete individual items
by invoking the list (start typing something into the form or double
click in the text field) then highlight the entry you wish to remove.
But instead of clicking on it, hit the delete key.
