My friend actually had a biological valve fitted with a pig being the
unsuspecting donor.

My friend lives an hour's drive from me so I won't be visiting him
every day that's for sure. I will therefore try to advise his family
and friends on the care requirements.

Superb answer, right at the level of my knowledge of veterinary
medicine and reptile keeping.  You found a test much less intrusive
than the spinal tap recommended on the other sites.  To answer your
question, yes, he received antibiotic shots post-surgery and before
coming home, but they didn't give the correct number of them.

I am grateful for the answer.  Beyond the common sense stuff, though,
I did not find out is whether combining a large amount of alcohol with
zyprexa has ever precipitated a catastrophic condition, such as coma
or organ failure, or might more gradually degrade cirulatory health,
etc.   The most interesting - and unexpected - fact the answer
provided was the link between marijuana and zyprexa.  Thanks a lot for
the research.

I was hoping that the search would have yielded more research
articles, but perhaps there are few related to this topic. The search
yielded one or two items I did not have from my own search, and was
worth the $ spent.
