only thing that kept it from being a 5 star answer is the absence of a
summary chart that I could use directly. Otherwise this provided the

If you get Bobbie as a researcher, youare very lucky.  My question was
difficult and involved.  I had found nothing of use on teh interset or
the New York City Library by the time aI contated Bobbie.  Bobbie did
a superb job and worked very hard at it, returning what I consider to
be a wealth of useful information in a difficult data enviroment.

Researcher  found the artist I had long given up on trying to find.

very comprehensive answer. Only one point seems incorrect. Family name
Schmitz has, according to other research done a hundred years ago,
nothing to do with smith, black or gold or otherwise. Info, not
confirmed, is that the name Schmitz was the first teutonic family name
mentioned in the annals of Tacitus, but the family bearing that name
was not connected with the trade of smith.
