lazerfx, you rock!!!! The VB code link is **exactly** what I need. 
I'll compile it, add the .exe to the HKLM...CurrentVersion/Run hive. 
Once the user logs in, the ScreenSaveActive registry is set -then- the
startup stuff runs.
