Getting to a .Mac homepage website.
Category: Computers > Internet Rating and comments by: gyth-ga |
A very helpful answer to an old fogey who doesn't understand web sites, search engines etc. By looking at the web pages suggested, I was able to understand better (well, a bit!) how Google works. Also, the answer told me how I can get my .mac home page into the Google database, and that in large part is what I wanted to know. |

Well organized and complete, could not do it better myself, even dough maniac only answered my original question somewhat. I agreed to an alternate answer, since he was honest enough to tell me that he may not be easy to find what I was looking for. Thanks: TEVA |

"Incentive payments for software quality"
Category: Computers > Software Rating and comments by: thechuckster-ga |
Many of the sites you provided me were ones that I had already visited. I was looking more for specific contract language, not outlines with explaination of the purpose of the contract clause. I really am looking for a "generic", if you will, general use contract which can be customized easily, based on parameters measuring quality software which further forms the basis for possible incentive/disincentive payment/penality. But, I'll take the more difficult road and develop my own customized language from the numerous 'this should be here" clauses. |

How to reset the root/master LDAP password
Category: Computers > Programming Rating and comments by: flight553-ga |
This researcher's Request for Clarification contained enough information to fully solve my problem. I think that LDAP is a cryptic and powerful software and I thought my question was fairly complicated and obscure, but this researcher answered it fully within hours of my asking it. This was a great first experience using Google Answers. |

Category: Computers > Operating Systems Rating and comments by: happy2bhere-ga |
Impressive. This could become a powerful way for me to save hours -- if not years -- of wasted effort in many arenas. I just have to practice making the question as focused as possible. The answer was a little broad because (I see now) my question was too scattershot. |
