Excellent response (& clarification).  I agree that this is poor
practice, and was very unpleasantly surprised to see this on the

him again to enhance this super Google search tool.

Thank you for your help.  Actually, I had thought about one of the
little monitoring cameras, but I also decided that I should finally
purchase a camcorder also.  I went to one of the electronics stores,
and of course all they knew was how to point me to the displays.

This was an excellent answer because it laid out all the options I
have in front of me, despite the fact that my question was not
necessarily the clearest. Evaluating the performance of each option
was the reason I am tipping, that was extremely helpful. Thanks!

This answers all of my questions! I am a little sad as I can't really
swing upwards of 300 dollars for all the equipment I need. 
Reagrdless, this is a great answer, and at least let me know this was
possible, and gave me a device to go e-baying for.  Thanks!

more than pointed me in the right direction.  I did manage to find a
free copy of the data on my own, which I think will work (even if it
is from the 1990 census).  http://www.census.gov/tiger/tms/gazetteer/
