Fixed my problem! It was being quite ornery but the suggestion to
start at the lowest resolution and work up is what finally made it
work!

rnage of what top expect. in the end though I purchased a ticket for
slightly cheaper with similar times on American Airlines.

Obviously Microsoft won't officially release a ClearType upgrade for
Windows 2000 because they want to sell you XP. I was really hoping for
instructions on how to replace some font rendering .dll from XP which
might somehow "hack-in" support. I can't blame the researcher,
however, just because I didn't get the answer I was hoping for.

This was my first question, and admittedly it was a test and a
challenge to see how this whole system works. I really like it. As to
the answer I received, it was good. It's informative and a great
starting point for further search. The answer was very appropriate
given the fact that I only put up $5 for it. I didn't really learn
anything great and new as far as published online books go (I'm
already a member at informIT, I use O'Reilly's and FreeBSD's websites
almost daily) but this is not due to the fact that the answer is low
in quality, but rather that it is difficult to nearly impossible to
find complete free online books that aren't outdated. What I really
liked and give the author of this research props for (and is probably
the reason i chose 5 stars instead of 4), is the fact that s/he
extended my question reasonably and found those links to the course
notes which I checked out, and they're actually really good - pretty
much like a full online book! I will definitely use this system in the
future when I have difficult research topics or simply no time to do
the research myself. Thanks Google, thanks researcher-ga.

Hi Researcher, I was able to solve my two problems by following the
leads you gave me, and I thank you for that. Both problems (links in
Outlook Express not responding in MSIE6 and MSIE6 unable to download)
were fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook Express and MSIE6
and then updating both.

Because of you my computer lives…it barely missed being subjected to
my wrath.

PS: anytime I get a quick answer that fixes my problem, it's damn well
worth 5 big stars, and so that's what I gave you! I'd been struggling

researcher-ga answered my question with the requirements I was looking for. I 
only gave four stars because it was not the solution I went with due to the 
complexity of "Faq-o-matic".

I did a search on those terms and already came up with the answers that 
your researcher gave. My hopes when using this service were that 1) the 
answer would be deeper than search results presented in a (admittedly 
quite nice) format and that the answers would have more authority than 
search results do. What seemed exciting to me was that Google had 
created a service that would help further sort out the junk flotsom and 
jetsam and weird commercial sites. Perhaps it is too much to expect for 
$10 -- but I won't pay $10 for a simple search that turns up USA Today 
articles and easy to find commercial sites (that are paid advertisers under 
most the search terms) Since I am not looking for geneology -- that is 
what I already have and since there is no indication that merely having my 
friend's social security number would help locate his first cousin, the 
answer is pretty weak.

This is a very good answer, if correct.  I wonder what he was doing during those
years, instead of making movies?

Great information. I've searched and found a lot of information on
this, but you were able to find several new pieces. It is amazing how
by changing search terms (from what I've used) just a little you

not 100.76 US Dollars! (unless the pound vs. dollar took off). But at least the
