Thank you for a very good answer.  I wonder would it be possible to
get some more information about the proportions of rebels and tories
in different areas (colonies), and the sizes and compositions of the
armies on each side?  The reason I ask is because the newspaper
article I once read, reporting a speech by a Canadian politician,
specifically said more Americans enlisted to fight with the British
than with the Continental Army.  He also quoted John Adams as saying
the division between loyalists and patriots was (from his point of
view)no better than even, and he should know.  Another $20 if you can
zero in on this.

This was far more comprehensive & informative than I expected, and
given the turnaround time (a few hours or so), I am extremely
impressed. kriswrite addressed all the points I was hoping for and
also touched on a number of things I didn't explicitly ask but was
wondering about. Firsthand knowledge of the subject doesn't hurt

This was a good answer...it went beyond the basics of what I asked.
I'll appreciate getting further detail back on the numbers of the
certain key markets. I'd also appreciate getting any additional
information about other out-of-print books on this subject - it seems
unlikely that nobody has covered this subject. For instance, the
Dummies series has a couple of books in the category (on Selling and
Sales Presentations). The information was especially helpful in the
way it went beyond my questions and got me thinking about other issues
having to do with the psychology of selling, and about directing it to
a particular market.
