great answer, helped clarify some new concepts for me

Theta-ga was very responsive and did a good job with well thoght-out
code; unfortunately, the solution didn't work -- my guess is that the
client probably has http proxies installed. I've pretty much given up
on this approach -- since MSXML doesn't support the proxy
authentication -- the only approach that is feasible is probably
something like http://forums.devx.com/showthread.php?t=3473 (they
don't provide the code, though)

good concise answer... provided me with just the info i needed.  One
last request if easy to answer, is there a good program that I could
use to "sync" the computers once I setup the new one?  (ie the old
computer serves as a backup for the new one... thus would need to
periodically sync the files etc.)

That's good job! Are you have any document to access the tag in mp3 file?

This was NOT the isssue - but the answerer did point me to the correct
page: http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/flash.html.  The correct answer
was "QuickTime has taken over handling Flash content" (inadequately, I
may add). I had to remove "Flash file" from the QuickTime MIME types.

Fantastic.  Exactly what I wanted to know.  And the news was good,
too!  (At least for me.)

Outstanding answer ! all I expected was some advice but I was supplied
with a documented program that works perfectly, even though it was
written without access to the hardware it controls. It'll take a while
for me to work through the code, but I could never have done this
alone.

Thank you. You sent me in the right direction with two solutions, a
good thing since the OSX freeware (WebArchivConverter) was buggy but
WebArchivConverter worked like a charm. Google Answers Rock!
