Thanks feilong,for fast responce! I was just so surprized by the fly
living! I stay away from the oven when it is on. I thought that
anything in the oven alive is toast and that fly must have a lot of
MOJO!

Essentially everything "Feilong" stated was true, but none of it
solved my problem.  The answer, it turns out, was in the correct usage
of the HP PrecisionScan Software, which I stumbled across on my own.

The original problem still persists. Yet, the researcher offered very
precise, thoughful and appropriately tailored responses and
suggestions. Though we tried out all suggestions, our problem seems to
be one that is not easily solved via written exchanges. Thank you
anyhow, the research service remains a valuable one, and we will
likely make use of it again in the future.

Spot on but the only driver I have got is the one I got for M.E>  I
seem to be unable to download the driver you recommend Internet
Explorer will not accept the final site even though I have reduced the
security levels

Very thorough.  Thank you--you gave me a good starting point for my
buying decision and cut out lots of basic research for me.  I ended up
going with the more advanced Epson because I'll need it for some other
graphic projects I have in mind.

THANK YOU! What a life saver--didn't realize that my problem was that
I was not saving in TIF format. This is what I get for never reading
manuals or taking classes. Really, really appreciate the info, as well
the additional helpful links provided. :-)

Good enough answer, 4 stars rating, but in regards of how difficult my
'dream' is, so one extra star is given. As he was pointed out, it's a
bit tricky to find a specific enough keyword to get a good result
because this 'dream' is pretty rare. However, the results given gave
me some insight to further my own search. Thank you for the effort!
