Thank you for your answer. Kindly also look at soem of the other
questions that are India related (I posted 2). All you need to do is
to make a couple of phonecalls so they are quite easy.

It was Norton, I had just reinstalled it. I would not figure that
there was a connection. Not sure where I am going now, but I know the
problem now. I dont want to get into the registry. I think Ill call
Norton. Thank you

That worked, thanks. :) The CGI error must have been a problem with the syntax.

Just so you know, the solutions did not work. I employed a technician
who tried to sell me a broadband router for 150 dollars. He failed as
he later found out his equipment was faulty. Before he returned with
another I phoned one last guy who after an hour and a half managed
this "simple" task with the cable I had already bought. The solution
apparently involved changing the IP address on my laptop. Thanks
anyway
