Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I unistalled some software that I thought might have been causing the problem, but that didn't help. I booted into safe mode, because I couldn't even get to the desktop. I then unistalled the NIC, rebooted to have XP recognize the card, and my troubles have gone away. I guess the,(needless), software I installed that came bundled with the SB4200, must have corrupted the NIC drivers. Thanks again for your help and expertise. |
