I really should have seen that all that was needed was a DVD player

Wonko, the researcher, sent me a very good answer - I had not been
able to find anything I have received. The results covered all the
points I mentioned in my question. it was my first time on Google

The answer was good and to the point. The researcher included a news
paper item which is understood by lay person and an article from a law
journal representing a technical view. Very illuminating.

Information provided was excellent--very thorough and timely.  Even
though these are private companies, I was hoping you'd be able to dig
up revenues for some of the other companies somewhere on the web. 
Wishful thinking, perhaps.

What i liked about this answer was the concise answer followed up by
good references. Will likely put similar answers in the near future.
