Thank you cynthia. Seems like I have lot of options. I am rating this
as your answer for the exhastive list of options you suggested. I have
a few comments though may be you can help clarify if you have few
minutes.

I have written complaints to the Rental Office - they told me other
have complained as well. Rental office said they sent memos to the
neighbour and it still continues so the they can't do anything more
about it. You are correct - Police have recetly told me flat out that
its on the low priority and nothing can be done about it. Do you think
going back to the rental office is the best option or going to the
Tentat-Landlord court is the best option? Should I run survey of the
neighbours (dropping suryey in their mail boxes) and show it to the
Landlord? Keeping log of the noise and its level would help?

Thanks Cynthia! This information is very helpful and it will put me to
a good start on my used car purchase. The "best bets" and "fuel
economy" reports that you have cited appear to be useful and reliable
resources.

It would have been great if a similar source for the "resale value"
parameter was included. However, I take your word (or your son's!!)
that the Accord, Civic and Miata have amongst the best resale value
:-)

Answer was poor and suggested request for clarification produced no
response. A (free) comment produced a more understandable explanation,
though my understanding is not free of confusions: assumming loudness
"boosts" certain frequencies, say high and low (as my son's physics
professor has suggested), does this not mean that the volume (sorry,
intensity) of these frequencies is also increased ? Would not the
total intensity or voulme of the  over-all sound be greater in this
case; perhaps this is why the two concepts  of loudness and
volume/intensity are easily confused.

I really didn't get an answer to my question, which was "where can I
buy this drink?" If there are 10 steps along the path to finding the
answer to this question, on my own I got to step 4 - I learned there
was a distributor somewhere in California, but I didn't have a way to
contact them. This answer got me to step 5 - I got the email address
of that distributor, but nothing else. I was unable to get any real
information from that person. Enjoy that $10, I still have a long way
to go in finding my answer.
