I don't know how you did it, but you did. I'm sure others have asked more complicated questions. But believe me, I tried to Google the answer myself because a) I have every confidence in Google, and b) I am cheap. I will recommend Google Answers to everyone... |

Symbols and icons, etc. that signify being very rich
Category: Miscellaneous Rating and comments by: inkvisitor-ga |
Voila, you should have a motto: "No half measures!" Outstanding. It is interesting, the extent to which one regards luck and good fortune as a big part of getting rich. Both types of references exceedingly useful. How exactly do I preface future questions to gain your attention? I assume it is not possible to direct questions to specific researchers? (By the way, I'm on an astoundingly (one might say depressingly) tight budget, alas, or would be tipping like Gatsby for all your great work.) |

Global and US Locales signifying "very rich"
Category: Miscellaneous Rating and comments by: inkvisitor-ga |
Many thanks, Voila. I will look forward to seeing the additional ones you note will be added shortly. The list thus far looks fine, and will be useful. I note that it may not only be most expensive cities (which can hit poor occupants as well as rich), but very exclusive places -- Vail? Aspen? Some ritzy ski resort in Europe? And isn't there some place that the rich and powerful congregate on occasion -- Davos? Anyway, your list is a great help and much appreciated! Your research and communication skills are excellent. |

Auditory Processing Deficit and Class Size
Category: Health > Children Rating and comments by: rosiep-ga |
Thanks for your efforts. I'll admit I was initially disappointed - I have already read the books you referenced and visited most of the sites you noted. I had been hoping for more specific information on class size and APD since I had not been able to find it myself. However, I know you can't provide what isn't there, so I appreciate your efforts to add value to the answer with other types of information. |

Improving an interactive tutorial on searching with Google
Category: Computers > Internet Rating and comments by: nancyb-ga |
I had high expectations for what Google Answers would provide me and you exceeded them. You deserve much more than 5 star. If I could, I would give you at least triple that amount. Thank you for a wonderfully thorough answer. If you care to look at Google Guide again, you will notice that I made most of the improvements you suggested and I'm still considering putting in a few more. I liked your suggestion of including a question about locating your congressman's contact information, but because many Google Guide users don't live in the United States, I changed the question to locating your representative's (e.g., senator or member of parliament). I appreciate your concern that the page on search operators (advanced operators) might put some readers off, so at the top of http://www.googleguide.com/advanced_operators.html I added "Skip to Part II: Understanding Search Result unless you're an experienced Google user or you want to know how to use Google's advanced operators." I'm considering moving the page to the end of the tutorial, but at the moment I've left it at the end of Part I because it's about searching. I don't consider advanced operators special tools (the focus of Part III). I hope we meet again soon. Nancy |

Syndrome concept
Category: Health > Conditions and Diseases Rating and comments by: dont_look_down-ga |
Great researcher. She put so much work of value in her comments on a very difficult, broad question. She was gracious in starting off with comments to see if I would accept an answer from her. I asked her to proceed, and she provided many valuable terms, resources and references in many key areas necessary to address the subject. This is all of great value in helping me finish my project in a well-rounded way. She obviously had a sincere personal investment in the subject, and looking at her track record, I see she only takes on projects that she cares about and has a handle on. She's a real pro. |

Category: Arts and Entertainment > Television Rating and comments by: cryptica-ga |
Now THAT'S what I all an answer, Voila! Thanks so much for the kind words. I love Answers.Google. It reminds me of the early days of BBS'ing and the sense of community you'd have. You get to know the personalities of both the researchers AND the "regulars." And frankly, logging on every few hours to check the status of my TV Marriage question and bouncing ideas off everybody -- and reading other questions from OTHER people and offering info if I have it -- is my secret work-place escape. I just wish the FONTS weren't so ugly here in the text box. Thanks again. There WILL be more questions! |
