variables one at a time...but your info clarifies the big picture.
Candlemaking does sound a bit intimidating but the rewards are worth

I have a few comments.  I don't believe the number of pages in the site matter.
Do a search for "Internet advertising" and you see www.admedia.org
just like emarketingmag is one page with links going no where.

www.starmonior is a duplicate except for the two homepages.  I also
however belive Google does not care.  It all depends which site is
getting higher backlinks.  They care if someone actually complains. 
Then they get involved.  Google software can not by itself tell the
duplicate.  again, if somone report it, then they might.

Actonvision is a very large site.  It is a good site with lots of
research reports on Branding.

The researcher (larre-ga) who answered my question/s was extremely
detailed and responded very quickly.  He sent back 4 pages of info. 
This was worth to me several times the cost.  I actually feel guilty
at the great response I received for the money !!!

larre----no.  The De Bondt study is behavioral finance.  But I gave
you five stars for sheer effort.  I appreciate it!

The study or studies I'm looking for would have results that appear
something like this:

"A group of 200 stocks were picked at random from the universe of
publicly-traded stocks.  Four different money management trading rules
were applied to the same 200 stocks.

Cohort 1:  No exit strategy.  All 200 stocks were passively held from
purchase until study termination.
Cohort 2:  5% decliner strategy.  Any stock which declined 5% at any
point during the study was "sold" from the portfolio.  All other
stocks were held until termination.
Cohort 3:  Any stock which rose 5% or more at any point during the
study was "sold" from the portfolio.  The remaining stocks were held
until termination.
Cohort 4:  Any stock which either rose 5% or declined 5% was "sold"
from the portfolio.  The remaining stocks were held until termination.

Results:

Cohort 1:  Portfolio gained 8% during the period studied.  This
closely approximated the S&P 500 return during the same period.
Cohort 2:  Portfolio gained 12% during the period.  50 stocks (of the
original 200) declined 5% or more and were removed from the portfolio.
 Hence, this portfolio held 150 stocks at termination.
Cohort 3:  Portfolio gained 6% during the period. 80 stocks (of the
original 200) rose 5% and were removed from the portfolio.  Hence,
this portfolio held 120 stocks at termination.
Cohort 4:  Portfolio gained 2% during the period.  50 stocks (of the
original 200) declined 5% and were removed.  80 stocks (of the
original 200) rose 5% and were removed from the portfolio.  Hence,
this portfolio held 70 stocks at termination.

Conclusions:  Only one cohort beat a passive buy-and-hold strategy. 
That was Cohort 2, which involved selling losers before they could
decline further.  Cohort 3 ("locking in" profits early) underperformed
the passive strategy of Cohort 1.  Cohort 4 (exiting both winners and
losers) performed most poorly.

Conclusion:  investors should "cut losses" early while "letting profits run."

Thanks to Larre for more information than I ever expected!  After
reading same, I shall return to the felled tree and gather more acorns
and keep them moist, and perhaps help to reforest an area near me that
I can control.  I have planted over 10 larger trees in the four years
I have lived here, not on my own land, but on common ground for our
townhomes that help to reclaim the ground as it once was. Your answer
was prompt, very informational, and I shall print it out for future
reference.  I am a 77 year old widow who tries to care for our
precious environment. It breaks my heart to see these once lovely
woods being felled and burned around me and around the South.  Thanks,

Wow! I'm stoked on your answer and this is going to give me something
to do in the next few weeks, months and this winter. =)

I don't have kids yet, but my best friend who jumps with me does and
it's not changed his mind about it. I think every parent worries a
little about their kids. They don't want them to do what they did when
they were a kid weather it's going to a "drinking party" or skydiving
or going on a skiing trip with friends. In my own, all you can do is
give your kids good direction, morals, education and pray. I've seen
that sheltering kids only makes them want to escape of the box more.
