Non-base-2 CRCs? An impossibility?
Category: Computers > Algorithms Rating and comments by: alexander-ga |
Absolutely amazing answer; goes well beyond what I expected, including addressing underlying issues. Thank you very much. To save you from the tricky integrals (sounds like torture), it occurred to me that I could tweak the code I mentioned in my first link, which was (now it hits me) designed for testing collision resistance. The ultimate dataset doesn't exist yet, but I think I have enough samples to sufficiently test the algorithm. This should actually provide a pretty good "real-world" indicator of how it will perform in my application, including sensitivity. Thank you again for your prodigious help. :) |

Need someone with XSLT knowledge to give relatively simple advice (yes/no Qustn)
Category: Computers > Programming Rating and comments by: davidparks21-ga |
Thanks. I will continue my education on XSLT then. It seems like a powerful option to keep us from needing to program transformations of XML data, however these transformations can be sometimes rather complex. If you're able to add a comment after the rating is done can you let me know if math functions such as +, -, *, / are possible as well? Thanks very much! David |
