I'm including the maximum tip allowable by google.  The answer for
this question has eluded me for over a year.

Took a lot of time out to answer the questions very thoroughly. Great
Effort! I did want more Identity, history and or company info but I
know he mentioned that researching Identities wasn't his fortay.

This is great. Not only did I get the raw data (which I expected), but
I also got an explanation of the rationale for the data that was
retrieved. The data was also formatted such that it is easy to read,
and shows that this person clearly put some time and effort into this.
I wish my company's research department was this good.

I am still a little confused about whether an ADR pays its foreign
taxes directly - since certainly the individual shareholder wouldn't
have to file a tax return with a foreign government. Also, still am
uncertain about whether a non-ADR foreign holding is US taxable, and
if so, is foreign tax also due.

Overall I am pleased with the explanation, since it didn't pay enough
for a thorough research.

V; Yes, you answered my question well. Nonetheless, as you quoted, the
stock market today will probably return modest gains in the long term,
which is much better than a loss. Today, I saw a comic strip wherein
the character says: I must hurry for a meeting with my financial
adviser before he goes bankrupt.
