This was a really detailed and interesting answer.  The summary was
well written and answered my original question.  I felt I learned a
lot from the summary as to what attracts mosquitos to certain people. 
I liked the additional information that was provided on preventing
bites.  The links were quite good - I especially liked the clinical
link (http://www.acponline.org/journals/annals/01jun98/mosquito.htm). 
My only comment is that I would have liked to have more detailed
scientific/clinical information and links (though I should have
probably specified that in the original question).

Thanks to ALL who answered! I directed the question the way that I did
because in all of the answers that Missy provides, she has the right
perportion of personal insight and documented sources. I am sure many
others of you have that same trait it is just that I have not noticed
it as much.

I love Epicurious, and especially its index. Some of the ingredients
there are difficult to find, and when asking for a specific ingredient
and the store clerk responds "what is that?" Asking for a good
substitution is out-of-the-question.

Also, I am aware of FAQ item 22. I think that stipulation does tend to
make a more level playing field and more readally allows a new
researcher to break-in. However, I also think that experience should
have its advantages. In practice the ga moderator has allowed
questions to be directed. Perhaps ga should consider revising FAQ item
22.

Very impressed by the thoroughness and enthusiasm of missy-ga's
answer, but still not conclusive (I need to settle a heated late night
debate). Ferd-ga's is not nearly so convincing - it is true that the
term 'sushi' needs defining but it clearly relates to raw, and not
cooked fish.  The figures for fish consumption in Japan are
meaningless to me unless you can tell me the comparable figure for the
rest of the world - I can't 'do the math' without it. Both answers
have conflicting conclusions, which is a shame!

Excellent breadth and depth to answer, including first-hand
investigation. Nice answer!

This was a great answer to my question.  It was exactly what I was
looking for, and I can't wait to use the information. :) Slightly
worried that since it's from a cook-off site, it may deviate from the
traditional, but since I'm a pastry chef I know I can definitely
tinker with it. :)

Thanks for the insight, and as you said, you are right about getting
rid of AOL, and I would if I could.  They are offering a cheaper
service than Bell South is which is the DSL service provider in my
area, and because I am 18 and still living with my parents, we have no
choice but to keep AOL, while I pay the additional cost of their
highspeed service.  I did get my linux box up and running with Proxy
+, it seems to work well, and supports the HTTP as well as SOcks 5 ,
4, FTP etc protocols.  Thanks for all you're help and for clarifying
that I could set up the proxy the same with a windows machine as with
a linux.  You obviously put a lot of time into my question.  Good
Work.

You gave me what I was looking for, although not what I was HOPING
for! I needed to find a tangible tax disadvantage for an unmarried
permanent resident (because that's what would create a case for dual
citizenship in my situation); there doesn't seem to be anything of the
sort. Thanks for your careful search, however.

Appreciate the answer, but the two DMV tests are just 10 questions
each and don't help me get any nearer. The test.net might be great,
but I want to pass the CA test rather than know what it takes to be a
great motorcylist.  I specifially want a coach or an online testing
service to assess me so I can be sure I'm ready.
