thanks...more than enough sites for me to look through!!!

I did get a lot of helpful info re Outlook, throughout. However, I
must say that I'm still not quite clear on how to handle that *.pst
file. I did move all the sub-folders from that second folder, then
right-clicked on it and closed it, and things look back to normal.

Not what I wished to hear but I guess what I'd suspected really is true.

It looks as if this particular issue is beyond the realm of the
answers suggested. I have gone ahead and just reinstalled Windows from
scratch.

I'm embarrassed to tell you I found that I was not using the commands
on the tv properly and wasn't switching the source to VGA. Once I
found that it worked fine.
