WOW!!  - i love this google answering network of people. FAST response
and nice community.. thanks you redhoss for your time and research.
also to mikomoro and cvenom, thanks for the inputs. also i did call
the company and request a refund, i did not get what i wanted. to put
it short, they said i should have read the "term of agreement" and
blah blah blah ... :) ohh well, guess thats the price i have to pay
for my stupidity. Good days everyone!!

I do not fancy the 'finger' method, but I put some fuel from the
strimmer tank in a jam jar and compared it with 'straight' petrol. It
was a different colour as you say. The chap using the strimmer when it
broke down is in the clear, thanks Perry-ga.
