We are setting up the said pumps and motors and will test final rpm
with a hand tachometer on Saturday, March 26, I will advise what
actual hand tach tests out at.  I don't know if your calculations will
come out correct but I do believe it will be close.  Thank you so
much!

Great!  Not as "mysterious" as I hoped the answer would be, what an
odd feature, I thought it was a defect.  One less thing to wonder
about, although now I wonder if it makes a difference in fog... Oh

Thanks that is exacty what I am looking for.  I have run into this
same problem with other materials and will keep the math for future
projects.  This realy helps alot.  Not part of my initial question but
if you would be so kind.  How would the bending stress equation change
if it were a point load?  Thanks Again.

Answer was very useful.  Decided against using either heat or cold
because of time and cost constraints.  Using an impact method, which
is quick and effective (though noisy).  Thanks for the input. 
Sometimes it helps just to know what not to do.
