Everything is now explained and yet another of Life's Mysteries

Subject: For Pinkfreud: The Statue of Limitations
Category: Miscellaneous
Rating and comments by: probonopublico-ga
5 stars
Of course, Pink, ALL statues have their limitations!

Many thanks for pointing out the obvious. (Poor Venus!)

But I do prefer the last one ...

Here in the UK, there was a time when statues of naked men in public
galleries had their naughty bits excised ... (I suspect in Victorian
times) ... but I don't know whether or not there was a Statute of
Limitations that imposed this requirement .... possibly 'A Limitation
of Statues Statute'.

Once again, you have solved one of Life's Mysteries ...

Very soon there'll be none left.

All the Best

Truly Marvellous, Pridefunk

(I do hope that you have no objection to my spelling words the truly
English way) ...

I do assure you that it was the Okie reference that started me thinking about you.

Alas, I have struggled with today's Guardian puzzle - which was set by
Araucaria, my favourite, although I am puzzled how he came to choose
his soubriquet. I don't think that he's a monkey.

In fact, I do know that he is a defrocked priest. Really!

And many thanks for the added value in the shape of the haiku.

Excellent Pink but ...

Myoarin ain't at all foreign!

He's a Wild Colonial Boy from the Good Ole US of A.

True he lives in Europe but that only proves that he's also got excellent taste.

Pity about poor Kemlo but Daisy really does have a ferocious appetite.

And I always thought that Kemlo was Dog's Dinner.

Goodbye, Kemlo ...

Fairly thorough answer. I overestimated the quality of information
available (and thus feel like I overpriced my question), but none of
that is the Researcher's responsibility. The Researcher did provide
clarification when asked. Thank you, pinkfreud, for your assistance.

Hi, Pink, We've got lift-off!

I'm off to Bath tomorrow to follow up Timely One's lead and I shall
take your little po with me, just in case.

I saw a photo of Sophia Loren today and I must say she does look amazing for 71.

So if it works for her then why not for me?

If I am voted the most gorgeous person in 2007 I will definitely fly
out to see you and present you with a REAL tip. None of these measly
$100 jobs that are the limit hereabouts.

Fascinating, Pink, Very Many Thanks!

And a great link into the history.

Two minor quibbles though:

1: No versification that we have all come to expect in any PianoForte Answer; and

2: No JPEG illustrating either the GAR or members of her managerie
strutting their stuff.

Ah well, nothing's perfect.

The mention of Moira Shearer reminds me that she died earlier this
year; she really was exquisite.

Next time my friend loans me his box, I intend to invite you, the
Timely One, and ye Olde Hoary Oarsman to be my guests.

How's that?

Many thanks also for the link to Peter Cook & Dudley Moore (among
