I assume you mean youngest civilian police officer as well. When I served in the US Army in the late 1970's and early 1980's, the military was routinely inducting 17 year olds (with parental consent) into the Military Police Corps (of which I, myself, was a member). Additionally, in the 1800's, some deputies and constables may have been quite young at the time of their appointments, or temporary appointments as interim peace keepers, jailors, posse members, etc...Just an after thought. tutuzdad-ga |
