Thanx darkdove for the comments. Your right about the young boy from
Baltimore-god bless him and his family, and my hats off to Baltimore
pd.
To clarify my question,I was a true certified and sworn officer who
went thru the 16 week police academy and then patrolled assigned
area's. At the time they had just lowered the legal age to become a
police officer.
I understand that you will have cases like the one's that you
mentioned, howeverthe intent and the spirit of the question is I was a
real officer. Since I turned 18 on april 12 and was sworn in on may
3,If I was not the youngest modern time officer,I must have been
pretty close

I assume you mean youngest civilian police officer as well. When I
served in the US Army in the late 1970's and early 1980's, the
military was routinely inducting 17 year olds (with parental consent)
into the Military Police Corps (of which I, myself, was a member).

Additionally, in the 1800's, some deputies and constables may have
been quite young at the time of their appointments, or temporary
appointments as interim peace keepers, jailors, posse members,
etc...Just an after thought.
