I need to download drivers and software for transferring still images
and video from a Sony DCR-TRV17 MiniDV Digital Handycam (a video
camera) on a Windows 98 machine. I don't have time to find this

has the drivers you're looking for. As for the software, it was all
non-shareware video editing software, so you won't be able to download
them anywhere legally at least. Tell me if these drivers work for you
and if this is an acceptable answer for your question; I'll submit it.
