I have carried out an extensive search but the only information I have
found is with in a different spelling. This is a reference to a
property which was for sale.
"This home was designed in 1950 by architect Russell Guerne de Lappe
and reflects both the open design of international architecture and
the California influenced focus on outdoor living."

The other reference is from the Online Archive of California -
