Is the quote "It takes so many things to make love last. Most of all
it takes respect. And I can't live with a man I don't respect." from
Shelley Long in The Money Pit when Tom Hanks is stuck in the floor?
If not, where is it from?

Dear mox-ga:

That quote is actually from the 1980 movie Airplane! from Paramount
Pictures. You can find more information on that movie at the Internet
Movie DataBase. I have linked to the movie's database entry here:
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0080339

I have also found the full quote in context from Sound-Bytes:

Ted: "Don't you feel anything for me at all any more?"
Elaine: "It takes so many things to make love last. Most of all it
takes respect. And I can't live with a man I don't respect."
  Ted: "What a pisser!"
Sound-Bytes (http://kdidymus.crosswinds.net/airplane.htm)

The Sound-Bytes page on Airplane! also has a RealAudio recording of
the quote in the actual movie, so you can actually hear it for
yourself! Just click on the RealAudio icon to the left of the quote.
It also has many other interesting quotes from the movie. =)

Hi mox-ga

Surprise, I also found that quote in the song Everyone Has a Summer on
the
Lovage album - Music to Make Love to your Old Lady By that you asked
about earlier.

All the lyrics (unofficial) are at:

Hope you find someone to respect!
