Hello,

I am a long-time cartoonist hobbyist, and your description immediately
reminded me of a turn of the century cartoonist named John McCutcheon,
who painted the "Injun Summer" cartoon in 1912. I did a fair bit of
research this morning, and came up with the following source for the
picture:

http://www.wvec.k12.in.us/hhe/Founders/annie.htm

However, you should not lift original art from another Web page. If
interested in obtaining a copy of Mr. McCutcheon's photo from the
Chicago Tribune Gift Store in Chicago, IL, you may receive color
reproductions on heavy paper, including the words. They are $4.95 at
the store or $10 via the mail. Further contact information is
available on this page:

I wish you luck in obtaining a copy of this picture!

Let me give you a little hint: if you cancel your question, you won't
have to pay the $20.

If you leave it up, a "researcher" will simply crib my answer and
collect the money for doing nothing.
