I am compiling a list of newsletters (online and print) that address
both a particular topic (business process automation) and vertical
industries (high-tech, manufacturing, etc.) What are my best
available (i.e., free or inexpensive) online sources to provide me
with information I need to develop the most comprehensive list, which
would include newsletter names, contact info, etc.?

Great list, larre! However, I may have not been as "specific" as I
should have been (although I tried!). I was looking for online
resources that could supply information about online and/or printed
newsletters/e-zines, and not printed directories to
newsletters/e-zines.

Don't know if this changes your answers much, but just wanted to post
this clarification. Thanks for such quick work!

The online directories, for the most part, do offer information about
the individual newsletters, at least as described by the publishers.
Given the clarification, I'll scout about a bit more and see if I can
turn up some additional sources for you.

I've conducted several more searches in hopes of turning up faster, or
better organized e-zine and newsletter listings, without finding
anything that improves upon these first listings. Several sites
duplicatea number of the listings, but do so in ways that are even
less appealing, with more advertising, popups, fewer listings per
page, and other distractions. I haven't managed to locate any
newletter review sites that addresss the narrow field of process
automation. Trade publications of all types tend to be simply listed
in a variety of venues, rather than ranked or reviewed more helpfully.

In the directory listings given, the contact and subscription
information is available when you drill down through the categories,
or click through to the homepages of the individual publications
listed in the searches. Topica, especially, can be very tedious, but
the contact info you're seeking is in there. It's quite obvious your
compilation project will be very beneficial to those seeking a
one-stop information service.

I'll continue to work my way through a few of the search results that
turned up 1,000's of results. Perhaps in those pages, we'll manage
find you a gem of a source, or at least some helpful nuggets. I'll
post anything I believe to be worthwhile. Don't hold out a great deal
of anticipation, however, since the more useful sources also tend to
be reasonably well placed in seach results.
