I need a great day spa in Sonoma. It needs to offer manicures,
pedicures and hair salon services. Unfortunately, the Sonoma Mission
Inn won't work, because I'm not staying there.

Thanks!

Sorry -- It has to be a really classy place. The Sonoma Spa will NOT do.

Hi Kate!

Sounds like you are looking for a little R&R in Sonoma! There are a
number of spas located in this region, but as you noted many limit
their services to guests only (i.e. the Spa at Sonoma Mission Inn or
the Courtyard Spa at Sonoma Coast Village). There are, however, a few
wonderful choices that should meet your needs. I have included a list
below.

The RainDance spa is located at the Lodge at Sonoma and offers
treatments for non-guests, for information on the spa visit:
http://www.raindancespa.com
For a menu of their services visit:
http://www.raindancespa.com/mainmenu.htm
"Raindance Spa prides itself in serving both the guests in search of a
pleasurable day of pampering, as well as those in need of specific
therapy and treatment."

The MacArthur Place Spa & Historic Inn is wonderful and I think will
meet your needs. Click on “Spa” at the top of the page for a menu of
services:
http://www.macarthurplace.com/

The Gaige House Inn offers massage treatments. Lovely B&B setting:

Click on Massage to get to the menu.

I’m not sure if you are willing to travel up to Healdsburg, but I
would highly recommend the Spa off the Plaza. I’ve had a treatment
there and it was AMAZING. The spa is located in a cute little house
and the treatments are incredible. This spa is definitely better than
the “spa on the plaza” in Sonoma (which I have also been too) but not
quite as manicured as the Sonoma Mission Inn – it lacks that larger
spa atmosphere. If you are familiar with the Nordstrom Spa in San
Francisco or the La Belle Day Spa at Stanford Shopping center I would
say that this spa compares well with both of them. I had package #3 -
Herbal Body Steam followed by Salt Glo Scrub, Body Masque and Massage.
(Allow 2 1/2 hours $210). Totally incredible. Healdsberg is also a
very cute town.

For a comprehensive listing of spas in the Sonoma area visit this page
on Sonoma.com:

Hopefully one of these meets your needs, if you need any additional
information please feel free to request a clarification.

Happy Spa-ing!

Kate --
I just re-read your question and noticed that you also want Salon
services -- not massage services! My guess is that you are
going/participating in a wedding in Sonoma and want to take the girls
out for some pre-wedding pampering? If so, let me know a little more
about where you are willing to go -- i.e. are you willing to go to
Santa Rosa or Sebastapol? I was able to find two spa's in those areas
that offer Salon services.

Please note: The Spa at MacArthur Place does specify that they offer
"Salon Services" but i am not sure if these include hair styling. They
can be reached via phone at (707) 938-2929 or (800) 722-1866.

Otherwise, I have found it difficult to locate a "spa" which also
offers hair salon services in Sonoma proper. If this is what are you
looking for specifically, please post a clarification and I will
follow-up with that information.
