Dear Count,
First of all, let me clarify, that Google Answers is a different
service than that of Google's index, and I am no official Google
authority, but a Google Researcher.
The Google Index is not human edited but is based on linking: the
robot crawls through sites links to other sites, thus creating the
index. New sites are indexed not on the basis of their addmission to
the Google Index, but rather on the basis of the number and importance
of the sites that are linked to them.
In other words, you could be indexed by Google if you'd be linked to
as many other sites as possible. You can do that by contacting sites
that might be willing to link you (for example: Taos sites); by
listing yourself in the relevant category of a dierctory that is
indexed by humans (such as the Google Directory at
http://Directory.google.com); by advertising yourself in disucssion
groups such as the ones that appear in Google Groups -
http://groups.google.com
It could not hurt to submit yourself manually, although this
submission promises nothing: ://www.google.com/addurl.html
It should be mentioned, that the line of those who have submitted
themselves manually is big, and it may takes long weeks before you're
indexed, while linking "promises" your listing, unless you have some
technical problems in the site.
If you're determined to be the first result one gets when they search
for "Taos" (or real estate) in Google, you might want to consider
advertising at Google. This has nothing to do with the index (which
is, as mentioned before, made without human touch), but would ensure
that you'd be the first result people would see when they search for
that term you chose. Read about this program here

In case of problems after you've read all of the Webmasters advices,
you can contact help@google.com
I searched Google for "real estate" taos (and found other sites than
yours) as well as "Bill Monlux".
I hope that helped and answered your question. Please contcact me if
you need any clarifications on the answer.
Good Luck!!! |
