Hello from Google Inc.,

Thank you for your question. In order to answer your question, it will be
necessary to provide more information about the person looking to purchase the
insurance policy. Car insurance rates are highly sensitive to the individual’s
profile. For this reason it is best if the individual contacts the insurance
provider directly. You will need to provide:
1.	Person’s full name and age
2.	Primary living residence
3.	Full address for your permanent residence
4.	Type of car that will be insured
5.	How many people live in the person’s household
6.	Any other information about the person’s driving history (i.e., moving
traffic violations, license revocation, etc.)
Individual insurance companies may need additional information in order to
offer you the most appropriate quote for the individual.

Some companies you may be interested in exploring are*:
American Automobile Association- provides auto insurance through the Cal-Nevada
Auto Group. May also have information on other car insurance companies
throughout California.

I would like several actual estimates.

Here is some of the information you requested:
1-name(i would rather not reveal this; I don't think its necessary but its a
female who is 24)
2-primary living residence (renter in East Palo Alto)
3-seem unnecessary if you have the city
4-Toyota Corolla 87
5-just her
6-i listed the violatations before (driving w/o insurance and licence; one
failure to follow signs)
I did forget to mention that I want liability only since the car isn't worth
much. Thanks.

Dear Susan,

Thank you for your clarification. I took the provided information and
researched auto insurance policies with providers who are more inclined to
serve sub-prime clients.

I spoke with an agent at Progressive Insurance, but unfortunately could not get
a quote from the company. Progressive does not give quotes or hold policy
discussions with third parties.

I did manage to talk to Geico Direct, and given the information you provided
the agent said they are unable to provide insurance for twenty-four year old
woman for whom you wrote. If you can provide the following additional
information they may be able to offer a quote:
1.	Date of birth
2.	Highest level of education
3.	Current occupation
4.	How long she has lived at her current address
5.	How many doors the vehicle has
6.	Yearly mileage driven in the vehicle
7.	How long has she been driving with a license
8.	Has she ever had car insurance, or been on a car insurance policy

I did try the online quote forms for Kemper Insurance Companies,
FindCarInsurance.com, and Insurecom.com. However, they require a full name and
additional personal information before they will provide you with a quote.
Additionally, many of them require supplemental usage information (i.e. primary
use of vehicle, mileage to and from work, etc.) and vehicle information (i.e.
VIN number).

Seeking better information on the subject, I searched the website for the
California Department of Insurance. Here I sought a quote for basic-liability
insurance with an individual profile that most closely matched the information
you provided. Given this profile the following are the five least expensive
premiums listed:
1.	Amica mutual $633
2.	Pacific Specialty $682
3.	Horace Mann Insurance $714
4.	Pacific National $780
5.	Mercury Casualty $790

Unfortunately, the website did not specify if these rates were yearly or half
yearly. According to this website, these quotes are “based upon several
scenarios or hypothetical risks, which take into account the most common
variables used to calculate automobile insurance premiums.” The payment
schedule and these rates are subject to change based on more detailed personal
and vehicle usage information of the individual.

I hope that this information proves more useful for you.

Hi Susan,

Check out www.esurance.com. There you can get an online quote with differing
amounts of coverage(liability only, liability and comprehensive, liability and
uninsured motorist, etc)

The parent company for esurance is a top rated insurance company.

For a policy based on the information you described, this is the quote they
gave:
$667 for 6 months for
Bodily Injury limit: $15,000/$30,000 (per person/per accident)
Property Damage Limit: $5,000
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury Limits: $15,000/$30,000

This is with a $500 deductible. I chose the lowest amounts of coverage they
offer for a 24 year old driver with the two violations you listed in zip code
94306 and the car you listed.

Hope this helps.

By the way, if cost is no object, Mercury Insurance probably gives the best
service. They were the first to voluntarily pay the california insurance
rebates to their customers for example. However, they are the most expensive
until you have been with them for a few years.

Susan,

With a violation like "Operating without a license", few standard carriers will
provide a quote, much less a cheap/competitive one. A lot of the online
insurance companies "cherry pick" because they are "afraid" of internet risk.

But, with the information you provided, I was able to find you some better
quotes than those listed above. Most of those quotes are with Standard
Companies that will charge very high rates for riskier drivers. As mentionned
above also, there are some carriers that specialize in more "sub-standard".
http://www.quotesmith.com quotes a few of those sub-standard carriers live and
online. With the information that you provided I was able to come up with this
sample of quotes:

    EXPLORER INSURANCE COMPANY - 6 months - $332
REPUBLIC INDEMNITY CO. OF CALIFORNIA - 6 months - $421
    FINANCIAL INDEMNITY CO./UNITRIN - 6 - $439

My choice from the above would be FIC. They are an incredibly financially
stable insurance company (rated A+) and even have a standard business model
that you could qualify for in a couple of years.

Susan:

Your best bet is to (of course) shop around online. And even then,
most companies give you estimates (not real time rates). Some will
only give you one rate from one company. Some online providers are
only lead resellers and will only give you a thank you after you spend
15 minutes filling out their quote form.

You can get online rates from up to 4 auto insurance carriers securley at:

https://www.4carinsurancequotes.com/

Andf you can buy online or over the phone.

As far as paying month to month on the policy, that will depend on her
credit. If you have negative entries, some companies will require you
to make a semi or even annual payment, until you have been with them
for a year. Some will only require a monthly bank draft.

Hope this helps,

autoinsguy
