Want to know how many people are looking for (and finding) an attorney over the Internet. I heard that more than 15% of individuals do research for their legal questions on the Net, and end up retaining a lawyer from the information obtained. There are client/attorney matching services, but is it known how many client/counselor relationships are forged this way? How many clients actually end up engaging a lawyer they found on the Internet? Is it correct that 80 million Americans were looking to hire an attorney in 2001 and 15 million actually found one? I heard that 9% of those engaged an attorney they found using the Internet, but the ABA (American Bar Association) does not seem to have pertinent numbers. Is there any Bar informations available on this topic? How big is the market for attorneys online? What is the percentage of attorneys with a home page? Any information in this context is appreciated. |
