Dear dave_denver-ga;

Richard Buckminster Fuller (note the spelling correct spelling of the
name, “Buckminster”, as opposed to your spelling, “Buckminister”,
which may have added to the difficulty you had in finding pertinent
information.) was an American inventor, architect, engineer,
mathematician, poet and cosmologist. Born 12 July 1895 in Milton,
Massachusetts, Fuller devoted his entire life to solving the problems
of modern living. He died in Los Angeles, California on 1 July 1983.

In 1991, the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village acquired the parts
to the only surviving prototype of Buckminster Fuller's “Dymaxion
House”. The dome-like building was dismantled and restored. The
structure has since been reassembled at the Henry Ford museum in
Dearborn, Michigan. In 1992 the museum also acquired and dismantled
Fuller’s “Wichita House”, a transparent, Teflon "Pillow Dome" geodesic
built to withstand 135-mph winds and tons of snow, and took it to
Dearborn, Michigan as well. Both are on permanent exhibit there.

Sadly, the only remaining properties attributed to Fuller are his
former residence at 200 Locust St, Wichita, Kansas, which is now
privately owned.

I hope you find this research useful

Best regards;
Tutuzdad-ga

Dear dave_denver-ga;

I spoke to Carol Jones at the Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau,
just moments ago via telephone, who said she knew of no exhibits,
museums or other public displays related to Fuller’s work in Wichita.
(800-288-9424). She referred me to the Museum of Ancient Treasures
(Dr, John Kardatzke, Curator) for addition information (316-263-1311).
The information I had received earlier from the Wichita Convention &
Visitors Bureau was confirmed by the information specialist at the to
the Museum of Ancient Treasures. She advised me that to her knowledge,
there were no museums in Wichita that displayed or made reference to
the work of the late inventor, R. Buckminster Fuller.

I am sorry to be the one to deliver this disappointing news. I hope
this information provides a successful clarification.

Best regards;
