I see this quote attributed to LBJ, but I haven't been able to find
out details about when and where it was said. The quote is:

"You do not examine legislation in light of the benefits it will
convey if properly administered, but in light of the wrongs it would
do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered."
~~ Lyndon B. Johnson

Thanks for your help!

I have sent an email the the Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library in
Austin asking them for the source. As soon as I have a response, I
will let you know.

Thank you tar_heel. I look forward to finding out what they say. This
has been bugging me for over a year now! As the article posted by
elipc suggests, it doesn't really "sound" like Lyndon, although I
disagree with that writer's reasoning as to why.

BTW - I really like this "Answers" thing!
