Hi trevovski1-ga! Since you only need suggestions regarding the
promotion of your site and Im a former job searcher. This may sound
unbelievable to you but Im an artist, writer, editor, and translator
before I became a Google researcher. Dont get me wrong, I and all the
other researchers here are not direct employees of Google. We are
independent contractors. I have several home-based jobs that is done
only through the Internet. Im from the Philippines and all my
home-based projects are based in various countries. So now you know
that I once searched thoroughly to find projects from sites such as
yours, my suggestions can really help you.
First you need to submit your site to a directory service or a search
engine such as Google. To submit your site to Google in case you
havent done it yet, simply go to ://www.google.com/addurl.html.
Thats how easy it is. This step is for your site to be located in the
web. Now for some advertising
If you want to post ads for your site I suggest you post it first in
Europe based free ads, freelance/part-time sites. You can also post in
a pay site but that is your option of course. Then you post it in
other countries particularly your target countries/areas (South and
Central America and Asia). However, dont forget to post ads in the
U.S. too. I saw some of my home-based jobs, which includes my current
job as a researcher for Google, in American based freelance job sites.
Perhaps you can type freelance jobs or freelance artist on the
Google search bar and skim though the details. You see, in your case,
to be an effective promoter/employer you have to think like a
freelancer and find ways to make it easy for them to find you.
Remember, people who need jobs and have access to the Internet are
constantly searching, searching and searching. Your ad posts will be
like laying several baits that ultimately leads to your site. What you
can do best is to post ads in country-specific job sites. In my case
Im from the Philippines and here are some popular sites where you can
post ads although I believe these are pay sites.
Trabaho.com (Trabaho is Tagalog for work) popular work site
http://www.trabaho.com
JobsDB.com - the premiere Interactive Recruitment Network in Asia
http://www.jobsdb.com/PH/EN/default.htm
Jobstreet.com also a leading and popular Job jobsite in Asia
http://www.jobstreet.com.ph/
In Asia you can also post for free and at Asiadragons.com
http://www.asiadragons.com/wwwboard/country/philippines/joblisting/joblist.html
Finally, the real deal in promoting your site is to make your sites
description appealing to the reader or searcher. You can do this by
clearly specifying what you can offer to the freelancer, i.e.
part-time work, a steady stream of projects (if its possible),
competitive pay, and most importantly clearly state if the projects
you offer can be done offsite, and at home and the duration or the
time it takes you to pay your contractors.
I saw your site and it looks seriously professional. As an artist,
advertising graduate, and viewer I suggest that you can still make it
more interesting by adding more color just so it can project a better
image as an art site. To tell you the truth, Im interested and may
join you soon but for now, I enjoy being a researcher here.
I hope I cracked my creative and logical brain enough to help you in
your objective. Im sure some ideas may even pop up along the way.
Thanks for asking and Google-luck in posting! :D
Sincerely,
Feilong-ga |
