I would like to know the the steps and timing sequence for nutrient
absorption in the human gastrointestinal system. The steps should
progress starting at the point where food is swallowed, digestion
through excretion identifying specific location in the
gastrointestinal system, time, and nutrient(s) absorbed. I think
there must be such a sequence, as a
relative of mine always gets sick X hours after ingestion of food. I
want to see if there is some correlation to the stage of digestion, so
I'm looking for a very detailed timing, if possible. |
