<There is a list of addresses for secondary schools and, further and higher education colleges at the link given below. The addresses do not have the street name, but they do include the name of the school and the postcode which under the UK postal system is sufficient information for mail to arrive. There will shortly be a similar list available for primary schools from the website of the Primary Education Directory. More details about the schools can be found in a publication called The Education Authorities Directory. It lists the addresses for all UK secondary schools and, further and higher education colleges. Prices start at £75.00 for a soft cover edition with free shipping in the UK. The Primary education directory gives the address of primary schools. It costs £55.00. An alternative source is the LEAs. Schools in the UK are divided into Local Education Authorities (LEAs). A link giving the LEAs is provided below. The addresses of schools can be obtained from the websites of the LEAs. Because they are individual sites the information is classified into a variety of categories. For example Essex categorises its schools by location and Gateshead by type of school.> <Additional links:> <School addresses secondary schools and further and higher education colleges.> <http://www.schoolgovernment.co.uk/ftp/Index%20to%20School%20Names.pdf> <Local education authorities and their websites.> <http://www.dfee.gov.uk/info/dfeelea> <Gateshead primary schools.> <http://www.gateshead.gov.uk/educ/primscho.htm> <Essex schools.> <http://www.essexcc.gov.uk/educat/schools/Schools_list.asp?district=Basildon#> <The education authorities directory.> <http://www.schoolgovernment.co.uk/pages/pub/ead.htm> <The primary education directory.> <http://www.schoolgovernment.co.uk/pages/pub/PED2002.htm> <Search strategy:> <"uk education" addresses> ://www.google.com/search?q=%22uk+education%22+addresses&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&start=10&sa=N <"primary schools" uk> <://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22primary+schools%22+&as_q=uk> <Hope this helps.> |
