Hi

Thanks for the input, I am aware of several resources that you need to
either scan(from print) or pay for access but I am looking for one
thats online that I can just download. If it doesnt exist I will have
to eventually pay someone, but I hope to find an online source.

thanks

Hello--

I am not aware of any free list of all the media companies in the
world. That's not to say one doesn't exist, however.

I can tell you this. There is an "all-inclusive" book that's published
each year, listing all radio, television, newspapers, and magazines in
the United States. It's been about 10 years since I've used this book,
so I don't remember the name of it. But I'm fairly certain it still
exists. Perhaps another researcher knows what I'm referring to and
remembers the name.

I will also offer you this. You may search listings of all newspapers
and magazines at http://www.writersmarket.com/index_ns.asp

You may also search TV and radio stations in the United States at
http://www.tvjobs.com/

I hope this helps some.

There are a few companies out there. They don't just GIVE there
well-researched info out for FREE! But try www.GebbieInc.com.
The Gebbie Press releases a book each year with all sorts of contacts
and i'm sure they have everything on CD ROM these days.

Your local public library should have a copy of Gale or Matthew's
Media directories, which will list all the information you are looking
for. LR
