No Bush was ever a member of the Federal Reserve Board.

George W.'s grandfather, Prescott Bush, was the republican senator
from Connecticut 1952-62. He served as a member of the Senate
Committee on Banking and Currency, the Senate Committee on Public
Works, the Committee on Armed Services, a congressional Joint Economic
Committee, and the Special Committee on Aging

My apologies, I seemed to have mis-typed twice in your answer. I am
embarrassed to say. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

the first link should have been
http://www.who2.com/prescottbush.html

and the link for the list of former governors
http://www.federalreserve.gov/bios/
scroll down to the bottom of the left hand column for "Membership
since 1913"

For your future reference, you'll often get a more prompt response to
your concerns about an answer by posting a "request for clarification"
since that generates an e-mail alert to the Researcher (otherwise it's
a matter of just happening upon the rated question).

A request for clarification also gives Researchers a chance to try
to fix our errors before you go away dissatisfied or rate a question.

Please use the clarification request if I can be of any further
assistance, and, again, I'm sorry for the mistakes in your first
answer.

thanks for that !

I woulda rated your answer a little higher, but firstly the link
http://www.burstnet.com/cgi-bin/ads/ad9238a.cgi/1848/RETURN-CODE
appears to be to an ad.

And secondly, I still can't find a list of previous boards of
governers or such of the federal reserve from the link to
http://www.federalreserve.gov/

I looked at that site but the information I am aafter is either buried
deep or not there.

Clearly, however, the roumour that someone in the Bush family was ever
assocated with the Board appears to be false. So thanks.
