Can you provide me with information regarding events hosted by
Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo that feature their video game platforms
(e.g. Xbox, Playstation I & II, Gamecube) and related products?

I do not think Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo host any video game
events. Rather, there are video game conventions where these
companies, along with the game developers, attend and show off their
wares.
Is that what you mean? Find information on video game conventions?

Hello Jake1001,

Thanks for your question.

Each company is winding around the country right now with a few events
and promotions. Here is what I found:

Sony Playstation 2 events:

The PlayStation GameMobile

From www.us.playstation.com:

"Envision this, if you dare… 40 feet and 34,000 pounds of pure gaming
bliss. Step foot on the PlayStation GameMobile and experience
blisteringly hot titles for PS one consoles and PlayStation®2 computer
entertainment systems. At the GameMobile you can immerse yourself in
the world of PlayStation all free of charge. You can savor your
victory while kicking your friend's butt on the GameMobile's big
screen. You can enjoy the dark coolness of the inside kiosks or if you
prefer the outdoors, there are tons of kiosks on the exterior as well.
It's all about options and the GameMobile is chock full of them"

The event features the ability to play unreleased game, plus they are
giving out coupons and prizes. Here is the schedule they have posted
for this month:

PlayStation GameMobile Schedule

Nov 8-10

Dallas, TX

Fry's Electronics
12710 Executive Dr
Dallas, TX 85283

Nov 15-17

Oklahoma City, OK

Sears
1901 S. Yale
Tulsa, OK 74112

Nov 22-24

Jacksonville, FL

Circuit City #3409
9041 Southside Blvd.
Jacksonville, FL 32256

Here is the website for this event:

GameMobile
http://www.us.playstation.com/events/gamemobile/

They also have listed the "The PlayStation 2 Truck", which looks to be
much the same thing. Here are the dates they have posted so far:

PlayStation 2 Touring Attraction Schedule

Nov 2

Voodoo Music Fest

New Orleans, LA

City Park

Nov 8-10

Pensacola Air Show

Pensacola, FL

NAS Pensacola

Here is the website:

PlayStation 2 Truck
http://www.us.playstation.com/events/playstation2truck/

They also have an event called Dual Play. They are on the second leg
of this tour and it features DJ Dan and Christopher Lawrence. No word
of any prizes or chance to test games but you never know. Here is the
tour schedule for the rest of this month:

11/9

Minneapolis, MN

Quest

11/11

New Orleans, LA

House of Blues

11/12

Sacramento, CA

The Rage

Here is the Dual Play link:

Dual Play
http://www.us.playstation.com/Events/CurrentPromos/DualPlay/415015165.asp

Microsoft Xbox Events:

Microsoft is putting on an event called the Xbox Odyssey. Here is a
description:

"Xbox is on the road with the Xbox Odyssey Tour. Step inside the
world's coolest traveling video arcade and immerse yourself in the
world of Xbox. Odyssey is a 106 foot inflatable dome that holds more
than 50 game stations, set to the driving pulse of live DJs - you
won't want to miss a beat when Odyssey comes to your town! And it's
FREE!"

The only location they have listed at the moment ended on the 3rd of
this month, but I think they will have another date soon. They seem
to stay in one place for weeks at a time so they're probably setting
up another location. Here is the website which contains a lot of
media about the event:

Xbox Odyssey
http://www.xbox.com/odyssey/

If you live in the Seattle or Puget Sound area they give you a chance
to play test unreleased games. Here is the web link:

Playtest Research
http://www.microsoft.com/playtest/

Nintendo GameCube Events:

Nintendo is hosting an event called the Nintendo CubeClub Tour. They
have dates going up to December 21st and they are visiting many
different venues and cities. Here is a short description:

"This is the party you'll be talking about for years. Decades even.
We've taken the hottest new video games for Nintendo GameCube and
Nintendo Game Boy Advance, added live DJs, tasty beverages, a
Panasonic listening lounge, prizes and more to create the ultimate
club experience. And the best part? You just made the guest list."

It seems like you have to sign up on their site to participate, but I
am sure it is pretty painless. They have a neat little flash program
showing a map of the US with where they will be and when. It seems
like they will be giving out some prizes; overall, it looks an
interesting event.

That looks like that's really it for the rest of the year. Of course,
they will all be at E3 next year (http://www.e3expo.com/) which is May
13 through the 15th. I am sure they will have some more contests and
promotions between now and then as well. I would suggest checking
their respective homepages every now and then. I hope this helps.

Can you see if there have been any events hosted by these three
companies (featuring similar products) between 2000 - Oct 2002?

Thanks

Reason this answer was rejected by jake1001-ga:
I could've obtained the answers provided to the referenced question by
going to nintendo.com, sony.com, or micorosoft.com. Additionally I
was told by the person that provided my answers that none of these
companies host gaming events, which I later found out on my own to be
not true. For example, nintendo has hosted an event called Spaceworld
3 out of the past 5 years. Your service didn't provide me wiht any
information on this event.
